Dear Friends,
In a world where our lives can become a never ending challenge in facing the vestiges of wicked intent in our environment, there are circumstances that have provided a rebuke to those concerns.
During the past several weeks, I've encountered situations in which I've rejoiced at the demeanor and the glorious outflow of respect others have shown to total strangers and myself included. While this behavior can be construed as a rare occurrence in Los Angeles, I am animated at the prospect that I must possess or be surrounded by an aura in which good graces abound!

The other day I was in line at the Post Office. There was only one cashier and there were 4 customers before me and 3 customers behind me. There was a middle aged woman that purchased stamps and requested assistance in sending a package. The transaction was completed and she left. About 5 minutes later, the woman came back and advised the cashier that she overpaid when her change was given. Everyone in line overheard this conversation and were amazed that honesty still exists! All of us at the Post Office were excited to know we were witnesses to an occurrence in which the truth was truly comforting to absorb. We were truly delighted, as we opened up by mentioning our past activities when 'The Golden Rule' was a major force in our experiences.

Another situation occurred when I had to take my car to the shop, as there were electrical problems. The blinkers were not working along with the air conditioning. A month
earlier the car was repaired. When the same problem happened again, I decided to go back and see if the mechanic could pinpoint the difficulty in the electrical system. I went to the shop early Saturday morning without an appointment. The shop's owner mentioned it would take time to solve the problem. That was fine as I suggested I can have breakfast at a diner across the street. About an hour and a half later, I learned the trouble with the electrical system was resolved - and I did not have to pay for the repairs! I was truly excited as I was imagining paying a small fortune or being advised the car could not be fixed.

My last example happened a few weeks ago. As I was leaving the grocery store I walked to the parking lot. For some reason I do not know why, I smiled at a woman parked next to my car. She looked at me, smiled, and said 'you have the most beautiful smile'! I was thrilled at the compliment and wished her the best!  During this experience, I must have utilized my 'smile therapy' where I invoke my presence on others, even though the world might be crashing before my very eyes!

Thanks again for your continuous support.
