Dear Friends,

As I write this post, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is burning. This devastation is truly catastrophic as this awesome architectural work of faith has existed since the 12th century. To witness the destruction of a monument revered around the world under these circumstances during Holy Week, is depressing.

Yesterday was Palm Sunday. Many Christians celebrated the triumphant entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem after 40 days and 40 nights He devoted to prayer and fasting. It has been over 2000 years since these events led to His Crucifixion and Resurrection. Easter is the most cherished date in which we begin to comprehend the pain, suffering and torment Jesus endured to forgive our sins. Many of us of the Christian faith understand and recognize the undisputed devotion He has for mankind as He loves us unconditionally. Throughout my own life, I have been affected by His kindness as there are moments that are unexplainable and are deemed supernatural in nature. We should not be surprised nor ambivalent by His presence in our daily lives.

The fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral saddens everyone in Paris and around the world. To have this destruction occur today is significant. The struggle for answers to why the Cathedral was destined for devastation - will be revealed by our genuine and sincere prayers. The truth will be forthcoming.

Thanks again for your continuous support.
