Dear Friends,

Over the Labor Day weekend I was able to organize my belongings by 'downsizing', in my attempt to donate clothing and material possessions that are no longer used. I was also going through old paperwork and came across a newsletter from the parish I attend. The bulletin was from March of this year as Lent is observed during this period. I read the passage and was struck by its simple message of FASTING AND FEASTING. With the anxiety, stress and suffering many Americans are experiencing nowadays, this uplifting post reminds us that under challenging situations life is worth living and we must never be discouraged. I do not know the author, but I'm content the writer would like for me to share these words of wisdom.

The post is titled FASTING AND FEASTING.

Fast from words that tear down;

Feast on phrases that build up.

Fast from discontent;

Feast on gratitude.

Fast from anger;

Feast on patience.

Fast from pessimism;

Feast on optimism.

Fast from worry;

Feast on divine providence and order.

Fast from complaining;

Feast on appreciation.

Fast from negatives;

Feast on affirmatives.

Fast from unrelenting pressures.

Prayers for the survival of our lives and for the nation - will be known on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020.  I pray that Almighty God will answer our prayers.

Thanks again for your continuous support - during these challenging times in America.
