OATH OF RESPONSIBILITY - 2020
June 30th, 2020 10:36 PM

Dear Friends,

On Saturday at 12PM PST on July 4th, I will raise my right hand and place my left hand on the Holy Bible and will recite The Oath of Responsibility. This will be my 7th consecutive year that I have devoted time to acknowledge the importance of the oath, as I pledge to be a discerning and law abiding citizen. Of all the times that I have recounted the profound testimony of my convictions as represented in the oath - this year without question has become the most consequential. The devastating attacks where attempts to destroy the Constitutional rights of Americans by leftist Socialist activists - their violent extremism has demonstrated the underlying hatred of this country, its history and the rule of law.

America is a nation that has weathered storms throughout its history. While these storms have incurred doses of pain and suffering, there were always voices of compassion and justice that recognized the ethical standards of the human condition. When there are forces within government seeking to destabilize the legitimate election of the current Chief Executive by a coup attempt and by Impeachment - the contempt for the institution of a Constitutional Democratic Republic jeopardizes the fundamental rights and freedoms of its citizens. Furthermore, we have a collective group of individuals that lack the understanding or the appreciation in America's development of social justice. The wanton destruction of statues and monuments across this country in efforts to erase American history and its culture, will never be accepted as a legitimate method to solve a grievance.

Therefore, I ask for your participation in reciting The Oath of Responsibility on Independence Day.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that as an American, I will use all the attributes of character I possess to be a responsible citizen, and will to the best of my ability, ensure, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."

I wish you, your family and friends a memorable 4th of July weekend!

Thanks again for your continuous support.
