Dear Friends,

As a lifelong Catholic, I went to Church on Ash Wednesday, as this day was the start of My Lenten Journey in my pursuit to be closer to God. As a follower of Jesus, I have been blessed by the ability to discern situations in which conflict is no longer an avenue for judgment or solution. During the next 40 days before the celebration of Easter, I will resuscitate my human presence by recognizing that Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving are the components that will help me understand and reveal the purpose for my life. Sometimes I wonder why is this the year that my destiny will be disclosed?  One of the main and basic factors in life is that when we age, I would surmise there is a thrust of wisdom that allows us to review our life with or without regrets in what we have accomplished and failed to perceive within our sphere of influence. While this recognition of human interaction is understood by deductive reasoning, there are many individuals that lack the capacity to distinguish actions and behavior that are deemed oppressive in nature. The disposition of those suffering from mental anguish due to trauma as youngsters, or the indoctrination of intellectual thought as young adults contrary to societal norms, are excursions towards confusion in overall future relationships. The past experiences in our lives have a rewarding or detrimental effect on how we view the world and how to survive from burdens that deprives our spiritual growth.

During this Lenten season, I will take a deep breath, sit back and contemplate a path in which I am able to appreciate the current station in my life. I will now have the opportunity to be the best person I can be, by helping others come to the realization that Lent is a Season of preparation that will allow us to live life to its fullest!

Thanks again for your continuous support.
