Dear Friends,

This month is a very active one for major events. Last weekend was the Super Bowl. The Grammy's were on Sunday. The State of the Union address and Mardi Gras are on Tuesday. Lent begins on Wednesday and Valentine's Day is on Thursday. The President's Day holiday is celebrated next Monday and the Academy Awards is later in the month. But for many, the celebration of love on Valentine's Day is the ultimate expression one can hope for, in a civilization where simple pleasures can still embrace the heart. A box of chocolates, a dozen red roses, a splendid home cooked meal or reciting a poem are just several gifts where one's appreciation for another is generally conveyed on this very special day.

It's wonderful to be reminded that you are loved! We need to be aware that love is the strongest and most delicate of emotions. The more love you give, the more love you will be rewarded in return. Unfortunately, love ceases to be interpreted in such a manner by individuals that have had experiences contrary to its meaning of serendipity. 'Love is the triumph of imagination over intelligence' remarked H.L Mencken and Maria Callas believed 'Love is so much better when you are not married'. While these observations are debatable, I'll be keeping my head in the clouds and anxiously awaiting my turn to be swept off my feet!

Thanks Again
