Dear Friends,

Americans are truly saddened, as 2 mass shootings over the weekend has claimed 31 lives and has critically wounded many others. The assaults in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio are acts of hatred, and its violent outcome is a product of a culture that is losing its moral recognition that life is truly profound.

The mental health decline in America has contributed to this constant barrage of intense rejection of human decency and dignity. While the Second Amendment to the Constitution allows its citizens the right to bear arms, there must be a method in which its use must never be utilized for the senseless killing of the innocent. An Independent Commission of private citizens is recommended, to start the discussion in providing logical solutions to end the carnage. Politicians or a media's biased leftist agenda are not allowed to contribute.

On July 16th, I wrote a post entitled 'America's Mental Health'. I neglected to mention other mental trials that are precarious and are manifesting its disorders on our troubled youth and society as a whole. Today, many Americans are offering their condolences for the victims and praying for the grieving family, friends and for a disconsolate country.

During this time of mourning, our thoughts turn to prayer for the circumstances that has inflicted harm on our nation. It's best for America to seek divine guidance to end the violence.

St Francis of Assis's prayer can help comfort us in our grief.

A Simple Prayer by Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred...let me sow love.

Where there is injury...pardon.

Where there is discord...unity.

Where there is doubt...faith.

Where there is error...truth.

Where there is despair...hope.

Where there is sadness...joy.

Where there is darkness...light.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled...as to console.

To be understood...as to understand.

To be loved...as to love.

It is in giving... that we receive.

It is in pardoning...that we are pardoned.

It is in dying...that we are born to eternal life.

Thanks again for your continuous support.
