Dear Friends,

I would confidently surmise that many of my Christian friends will be involved in Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving during the Lenten Season that began on Ash Wednesday almost two weeks ago. I truly embrace these events in which one's faith and reflection of our lives and the love we have for others, will be enhanced during these 40 days leading towards Easter. The Resurrection of our lives for those who believe, has been invigorated once again. Unfortunately, there are disconsolate souls throughout our environment that attempt to dislodge one's understanding of everlasting life. When we pray for peace within the lives of our families, our friends and the nation, we are truly doing God's work as we are inadvertently and unselfishly praying for our own redemption.

In order to reach the ultimate desire for one's Peace of Mind, I am reminded of the advice given by Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. "Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer." It's also mentioned in Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:17) to 'pray without ceasing.' During this time in world history, it's best to heed the wisdom of those that have acquired the proficient knowledge ascertained by a Divine embrace.

Fasting is also considered an important personal activity that is universally known for various effects in healing. Whether we contemplate a fast for weight loss, or to energize our bodies by its detoxifying health benefits or to contemplate a closer relationship with God, fasting and abstinence allows us the options to live abundantly. Fasting has provided a fascinating atmosphere, in which I'm convinced the Good Lord and His Angels are in my presence throughout the day. It's truly amazing to have this feeling!

It has been several weeks since I began an 'intermittent fast' by having one meal a day. I've lost 7 pounds so far, and my goal for Easter is to lose 20 pounds overall. I did fast last year and lost 20 pounds but I gained it all back! Throughout my entire life this situation has been the most frustratingly difficult to overcome. I'm confident this is the year that I will be disciplined enough to accomplish my weigh loss goals, God willing.

Also, for the past several years I have attended the Lenten Fish Fry at St. Mary Magdalen's in Los Angeles ( ) every Friday. The food is great and I recommend you have either the Catfish, Tilapia or Snapper combo meals. The food is spiritually delicious!

In regards to almsgiving, our company will be setting aside a percentage of its income for several charities. There are children suffering from devastating health challenges and we have members of our armed forces that are recovering from their wounds as a result of conflicts around the world. Please see the websites for the organizations below.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Shriners Hospital for Children

 Wounded Warrior Project

If you can, please donate to these charities during this Lenten Season, where we are asked to do the right thing by helping others in need. Our compassion knows no bounds!

As I contemplate and reflect on my past and current circumstances where one is afflicted by individuals with tendencies that reveal their moral inequities, forgiveness of their turpitude is recommended. As I review my experiences that have caused great distress, I  have done my best to offer genuine forgiveness for actions that have caused unrelenting emotional harm. Over time, I no longer hold a grudge but I am unable to forget the circumstances. Throughout this situation, I am burdened by a 'passive aggressive' approach in which I have 'moved on' and no longer communicate with the party that has caused the confrontation. During this Lenten Season, I will offer my sincere prayers that I have acquired the extreme wisdom to rectify the faults of character that I might possess. However, when powerful entities of all distinctions attack members of a society that have common sense convictions and solutions to solve every day problems - my disdain for their ignorance, contempt and animus offers a conflict that requires deep introspection, prayer and trust in the Almighty for resolutions. Notwithstanding, I'd rather fight for liberty and freedom in order to save the lives of the oppressed.

Thanks again for your continuous support.
