Dear Friends,

This month has been sad and demanding, due to the onslaught of health concerns and the passing of two of my beloved friends that I'll dearly miss. In my last post I mentioned that my dear friend 'Jo' was called Home. I recently was made aware that another dear friend, a parishioner at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, passed away.

Rina Falcone was 90 years young when her time was determined to enjoy eternal life on December 26th. Her funeral mass on January 15th was attended by many in her congregation. Rina was fondly remembered for the manner in which she delivered Scripture as a lector at the 12:05 mass every Thursday for many years. Every word she recited was truly inspirational, as it brought life to all the verses spoken that day. She also had an operatic voice that brought down the house - I should say church! Immediately after mass, Rina sang one of the numerous spiritually inspired hymns all of us at the church service wonderfully enjoyed!

Our lives will always be considered profound, as we will always be remembered by our actions, words and deeds. Rina will never leave my heart, as her presence will be recognized for the love she had for each and everyone of us.

Rina chose these words to comfort us in our sorrow, as she has made it Safely Home.

"I am home in Heaven, dear ones: Oh so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now in peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. And he came Himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus' arm to lean on could I have one doubt or dread?"

We will say our goodbyes for now, but not for very long.

Thanks again for your continuous support.
