Dear Friends,

Dame Barbara Windsor passed away on Thursday, December 10th from Alzheimer's Disease at 83 years of age. Barbara was an exceptional individual as she loved life and lived to the fullest! In her later years she succumbed to the effects of a disease known for its cognitive impairment of memory. Barbara was a delight to see her in action on the British soap opera Eastenders - from her first appearance as Peggy Mitchell in 1994 and for many years thereafter. Her role as the pub owner of the Queen Vic and the matriarch of Walford Square was designed specifically for her. Peggy was a character that was truly invigorating and unforgettable as a strong woman known for her wit, wisdom and direct confrontations with family, friends and adversaries .

Years before her appearance on Eastenders, Barbara developed her comic timing during riotous performances in the Carry On films loved by fans in the UK and around the world. On a personal level, I've been a fan of Eastenders since its beginning and I'm deeply saddened Barbara is no longer with us. However, we have a treasure of entertainment throughout the years via movies and video recordings to enjoy. If there is a pub in Heaven, i just know that she'll be there to take my order of a Cuba Libre!

Dame Barbara Windsor - you are loved and will be sorely missed! Condolences to her family, friends and everyone that truly loved this amazing woman!

Thanks again for your continuous support - during these challenging times.
